Have you ever heard of Face Yoga? Exactly, yoga for your face. In a world where most Western people’s frame of reference for yoga is Instagram-worthy peak poses on clifftops and pristine studios, Face Yoga doesn’t precisely seem destined for success. Yet, here it is, it’s a ‘thing’, and it is growing in popularity. We are showing you three of our favourite face yoga exercises to try!

Face Yoga hailed as a non-invasive alternative to Botox and surgery. Apparently, Meghan Markle is a huge fan. However, you might wonder how these anti-ageing facial exercises can help banish fine lines, sagging and wrinkles Well, while purists may not agree to call it ‘yoga’ in its purest definition of the word, Face Yoga promises to ‘relax and tone muscles’. It enhances your natural beauty from the inside out plus, most importantly, via non-invasive or chemical-based methods to keep you looking youthful. Hands up if you are with us?

Why Face Yoga?

“Face yoga exercises work the hypodermis or the lower layer of the skin, the dermis or the middle layer and the epidermis or the upper layer,” says Face Yoga expert Danielle Collins. Face Yoga exercises are working all these layers, which increases the blood circulation, which then allows more oxygen and more nourishment to reach the cells of the skin. Awesome, right? The result is a clear, healthy complexion with a beautiful glow which has fewer toxins and a better ability to absorb moisture.

Face Yoga is very similar to facial massages you can do at home. The anti-ageing facial exercises technique is designed to stimulate collagen and elastin production in the middle layer of the skin, which will give you a smoother, more supple, tighter-looking skin. Hello, beautiful glowing skin!

You should do your anti-ageing facial exercises for 20 minutes, up to six times a week. Sounds like a lot of time at first, but the results will show pretty quickly. Aaand it’s free!

Everyone has different faces so the time it takes to see changes varies from person to person but, as a rule, you’ll start to see more of a long term improvement in your face and neck after two weeks.  #WINNING! After 2-4 months, you’ll notice you have less fine lines, less tension and people will see you look healthier and more energised. Within 6-9 months, people have reported that they look and feel many years younger and feel more relaxed within themselves.

Who’s ready to give it a go? Just a quick tip, before you start yoga’ing is putting on some essential oils on your face to make it smoother and a bit more indulgent!
